Car parking upgrade at the PRUH
29 March 2022 - Work will begin in June to expand the car park at the hospital
Updated 6 June 2022
Work will begin shortly to expand the car park at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) in Bromley, creating additional car parking spaces at the hospital.
This is an important expansion to the car parking facilities at the PRUH. The Trust recognises the need for extra car parking for staff and patients, and this is an exciting development for the organisation.
The expansion will involve us installing a single-storey car parking deck in the main staff car park, located at the front of the PRUH as you enter from the A21/Farnborough Common Road, with work starting on 27 June 2022. Planning permission for the car park expansion was agreed earlier this year.
The car parking deck will be built off-site, which will help to limit the disruption to the day-to-day running of the hospital and reduce noise as much as possible, and is expected to open by the end of the year.
The hospital will be open as usual, and patients and visitors can continue to use the available car parking at the front of the hospital, including the drop off and collection bays.
