King’s Academy

King’s Academy is our state-of-the-art education and training facility for nurses, midwives, and allied healthcare professionals (AHPs).

Opened in 2023, it provides dedicated simulation, teaching, and conference rooms for nursing, midwifery, and AHP staff.

It is located in Loughborough Junction, a five-minute walk from the King’s College Hospital site.

Courses

King’s Academy offers nurses, midwives, and AHPs easily accessible opportunities to grow in their roles, with a focus on excellence in education and patient safety. It runs accredited courses to support continuing professional development, and refresher training.

We can also work with organisations to design bespoke courses that meet their specific development and training needs.

Simulation

The Academy houses two dedicated simulation rooms, containing one and two bedded bays, to provide simulation based education (SBE). We replicate events, activities, environments or incidents that provide an opportunity to practice skills and learn in a ‘high-stress, low-risk’ environment. This can be stand-alone training, or part of a wider blended learning programme.

Meeting, event and conference space hire

King’s Academy features three large versatile arch spaces that can house training, meetings, and conferences. Each space comes with a range of state-of-the-art equipment.
