Biography
Dr Sutherland trained in Edinburgh before moving to London to work in Paediatrics. She transitioned to training in Emergency Medicine but maintained a special interest in the care of children and adolescents. As a consultant at King’s she set up the first UK service to embed youth workers in an emergency department to support young people affected by violence.
Dr Sutherland continues to work clinically in adult and paediatric emergency care and major trauma care. She maintains her interest in safeguarding adolescents. She is the Clinical Director for Emergency Care at King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill.
