Biography
Dr Kapoor graduated in Medicine from Mumbai University and gained a PhD from University College London on genetics of congenital hyperinsulinism.
She has worked as a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellow and was granted a NIHR-BRC Clinical Research Award in 2009.
She has been a Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology at King’s College Hospital since 2010. As well as general endocrine clinics, she also runs a joint endocrine gynaecology clinic at King’s. She also holds an Adjunct Senior Lecturer position at King’s College London.
Her research interest focuses on congenital hyperinsulinism, growth hormone therapy and neuroendocrinology. She was recently awarded the MRC CARP award to investigate the role of oxytocin in neurobehavioural problems in children with disorders of the hypothalamo-pituitary axis.
