International Observership and Fellowship Programmes

People come to King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust from all over the world to benefit from its educational expertise.

The education and training programmes of King’s Commercial Services and King’s International Consortium offer healthcare professionals a wide range of varied opportunities to upskill with some of the UK’s top medical services. These include neurosciences, cardiac care, haemato-oncology, bariatric and obesity medicine, stroke, metabolic and bariatric surgery, and major trauma.

  • King’s International Observership is a type of training, where healthcare professionals can observe our experts at work in an NHS setting in the UK, ask relevant questions, improve their existing skills and learn new techniques.
  • International doctors with postgraduate medical qualifications can benefit from King’s International Fellowship Programme in a medical or surgical field. This allows candidates to obtain registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) through professional sponsorship by the Royal Colleges and high-quality training at the Trust.
