Inter-hospital acute referrals

Hospital clinicians can use our online inter-hospital acute referrals system to make urgent and emergency referrals to Haematology, Neurosurgery, Liver and Cardiology.

For referrals to Major Trauma, please use the major trauma referrals system (poly-trauma referrals only).

To access the systems, you must:

  • use a PC connected to an NHS hospital network
  • use Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE)*
  • have an NHS email address.

GPs wishing to make an acute referral, and hospital clinicians referring to a specialty not listed above, should check the services A to Z.
