Jessop Primary school students spread Easter joy at King’s

15 April 2025 - Primary school pupils have helped deliver over 100 Easter eggs for children in hospital

Pupils at Jessop Primary School in Lambeth had an egg-stra special delivery for young patients spending the Easter holidays receiving care and treatment at King’s College Hospital.

A group of 13 students from the school visited the hospital on Wednesday 2 April to donate a selection of Easter eggs. The group also had the opportunity to speak with King’s staff working in the hospital’s paediatric wards.

Kenneth Baffoe, Head of School at Jessop Primary School, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and generosity of our pupils, who all wanted to help make a difference to others. King’s is our local hospital, so this felt like a real community effort. We hope this very special delivery of Easter eggs will brighten up the holidays for plenty of children.”

Sarah Harris, Head of Nursing at King’s College Hospital, added: “These donations will bring a lot of smiles and joy to our young patients and their families. We are so grateful to everyone at Jessop Primary School for this wonderful act of kindness.”
