Our new staff profile for June 2022 is Bryan Angeles, Emergency Surgery Facilitator at the PRUH. Bryan joined the Surgical Department in September 2014. He said: “I like working for King’s because it brings the best out of me, and I always try to achieve the highest of standards in line with the Trust’s ambition of delivering outstanding care.

“My role is the first of its kind at the PRUH. It enables me to use critical thinking when it comes to patient care as I deal with post-operative and acute patients most of the time – ensuring they can be admitted and discharged at the right time. My team and I have safely discharged more than 300 patients from our main recovery unit in December 2020.

“The stand-out moment was when I was made an interim ward manager. This helped with my professional development, and made me realise my potential as a professional.

“Being a nurse is more than just waking up everyday and coming to work on time. It is about having that passion and drive to be better everyday because our profession makes a difference – a difference that is driven by how much love we have for nursing.”
