Resurfacing works at the PRUH
16 January 2020 - Works will take place at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) from Sunday 19 January to Friday 31 January
The front car park at the PRUH will undergo Tarmac resurfacing between 19-31 January in two stages.
Stage 1
The disabled parking bays and the road situated at the front of the hospital will be temporarily closed. Temporary disabled bays will be provided by utilizing the front rows of the normal parking bay. Every parking bay will have clear signage showing the new disabled locations and there will be two traffic marshall assisting visitors. This will take place from Sunday 19 January to Friday 24 January.
Stage 2
Bus Stop Road in front of Entrance C will be closed. The road directly in front of the hospital will temporarily be made into a two-way traffic system to facilitate easy access to parking facilities, with two traffic marshalls assisting visitors. This will take place from Monday 27 January to Friday 31 January.
Bus diversions
Bus routes 261 (towards the PRUH and Lewisham), R3 and R4 (towards the PRUH and Orpington) will all be affected by the works. Diversions will be in effect from the Saturday 18 January to Friday 31 January, and buses will use the bus stop at the front of the hospital on the A21. Transport for London will change the bus route back to normal on Saturday 1 February.
These works may cause increased traffic congestion and delays in the surrounding areas, so please allow extra time when travelling to hospital appointments.
