Vote for King’s in the BeLambeth Awards
10 July 2024 - Trust shortlisted in five categories and voting closes on Wednesday 17 July
We are delighted to announce that the Trust has been shortlisted in five categories in this year’s BeLambeth Awards.
The BeLambeth Awards are a celebration of the London Borough’s triumphs and highlights the contributions the people and organisations of Lambeth make.
The Trust has been shortlisted in the following categories:
- Commitment to Employee Training & Development
- Climate Action: Sustainable Impact Award (joint with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust)
- Inclusive Employer of the Year
The Trust has been recognised for a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, delivering sustainable care, and to delivering high-quality education and training to staff.
In addition, Kylie Nadon, Career Schemes Co-ordinator at King’s, has been shortlisted for the Rising Star Award and apprentices Halima Ahmad, Learning and Organisational Apprentice in Learning & Organisational Development; Melvyna Ketharuth, Apprentice Admission Assistant in Neuro Admissions; and Suliaman Ishaque, Apprentice MDT Assistant in Neuro Admissions have been shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year award.
Kylie has been shortlisted for her work developing one of the most robust NHS work experience programmes in London, which has seen nearly 350 students undertake work experience at the Trust.
Kylie said of being shortlisted:
“I am very grateful. Professionally, this nomination will hopefully further promote the programme internally to attract colleagues who share my desire to inspire and support our local young people in achieving their healthcare career ambitions. Personally, it is heart-warming having this opportunity to reflect on the successes of the bright young people and passionate mentors involved.”
