Smoke-free King’s
King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a smoke-free Trust. Patients, visitors and staff are not permitted to smoke anywhere in the hospital or its grounds.
The use of e-cigarettes and vapes is prohibited within Trust buildings, enclosed areas and next to building entrances and exits, but is permitted on Trust grounds.
Patients should expect to be asked about their smoking by clinical staff and to be offered support.
For inpatients we offer evidence-based treatment for smoking including the full range of nicotine replacement therapies and other prescribed medications. Staff are not permitted to take patients off the ward to smoke.
Get support to quit
Studies by Smokefree have shown that smokers are four times more likely to quit with NHS help.
