Letters to Loved Ones email service

Keep in touch with friends or relatives in hospital by using our Letters to Loved Ones email service.

To send a letter to a friend or relative who is an inpatient on one of our wards, email our Volunteer Service at [email protected]. Your message will then be printed out and delivered by our teams.

Simply follow the instructions below.

1. Start a new email.
2. Please write ‘Letters to loved ones’ in the subject line.
3. Please put the patient’s name at the top of the message.
4. Write your message, but please be mindful of the information you share in this email. Do not disclose anything confidential or too personal. You may want to include a photograph too.
5. Don’t forget to let them know who you are.
6. Double check you have typed in the email address correctly and press send.

The Letters to Loved Ones email service will be monitored from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

We will aim to deliver all messages the next morning. However, if you send your email after 4pm these will be delivered the next day.

We will not collect or share any personal data, including email addresses, or any other information contained within the body of an email other than for the purpose that it is intended.
