Biography

Dr Eva Theochari is a consultant neurologist specialising in epilepsy. After graduating from the Aristotle University’s medical school in Greece, she moved to the UK to continue her postgraduate training. She completed the Foundation and Core medical training in Mersey and North Western Deanery. She moved to Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery where she completed her neurology training in 2018.

Dr Theochari’s training was in major neuroscience centres in Manchester, in Salford Royal Hospital, and in London, including King’s College Hospital and St George’s Hospital. Since then, she has been a consultant neurologist with a special interest in epilepsy at King’s College Hospital. She has a particular interest in acute and complex epilepsy and has contributed in developing clinical pathways for patients presenting with their first seizure, review of patients presenting in the hospital with seizures as well as developing the epilepsy transition clinic.

Dr Theochari has a strong interest in medical education. In 2021 she completed an MSc in Medical Education and since then has been actively involved in educational roles. This includes as the educational lead for neurology and stroke trainees, and as deputy lead of the MSc in Clinical Neuroscience at King’s College London.
