Biography
Mr John Bidmead is a consultant gynaecologist specialising in minimally invasive surgery.
Having completed basic training in obstetrics and gynaecology he undertook additional subspecialty training in both urogynaecology and in minimally invasive surgery in the UK and Australia. He is registered as a subspecialist in urogynaecology and has full accreditation in laparoscopic surgery and leads an RCOG recognised centre for treatment of advanced endometriosis.
On completing his training he was appointed as a consultant in the Urogynaecology unit at Kings College Hospital, a prestigious unit with an international reputation in the field of pelvic reconstructive surgery.
His clinical interests currently involve minimally invasive treatment of prolapse and urinary incontinence and advanced laparoscopic treatment of benign gynaecological conditions, in particular complex endometriosis, fibroids and heavy periods.
