Biography
Francesca Kum joined King’s College Hospital in October 2022 as a Consultant Urological Surgeon. She offers numerous surgical options for benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), in addition to being competent in endourology and core urology.
Francesca trained at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine and completed her urology specialist rotations in the South London Deanery after ranking first in the National Selection process in 2017. She is fellowship trained in HoLEP (holmium laser enucleation of the prostate) and endourology, undertaking this at a high volume centre at Maidstone Hospital in 2021/22.
Having completed a Masters in Surgical Education at Imperial College London, Francesca has a keen interest in medical education. She is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at King’s College London, regularly teaching undergraduate medical students and contributing the intercalated BSc in Surgical Sciences programme. Francesca is departmental Lead for Education across both the King’s College Hospital and Princess Royal University Hospital sites and is committed to supporting junior team members in their holistic career progression and individual training needs.
