Professional development
One of our main aims is to foster lifelong learning for all our staff.
We offer a full programme of continuing professional development (CPD) which benefits greatly from our partnerships with a number of educational and research institutions and a network of other acute trusts.
CPD we offer includes:
- For managers – Management and leadership development
- For nurses and midwives – Newly-qualified Preceptorshop Programme
- For professional staff – Further education and post-registration qualifications
- For support staff – Apprenticeships
We help you to identify your needs through a Personal Development Plan and appraisals with your line manager, clinical supervisor or educational lead. Training must be supported by your line manager and be relevant to the needs of your service or department.
As a King’s employee, you can also access training and development provided by King’s Health Partners.
If you need financial support for extended training, a range of grants and bursaries is available.
